For two weeks, farmers protesting the Narendra Modi government’s three farm laws have been sitting at Singhu, Tikri and other border points surrounding Delhi. On December 13, a small farmers’ protest wing from Rajasthan took to the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, reaching the border with Haryana, where they were stopped and blocked traffic toward Delhi, to force the repeal of the laws.
The Wire followed the march and spoke to protesting farmers and movement leaders about this daring and high-stakes step.
