Farmers here have been sitting on an indefinite protest, accusing the government of snatching away their lands and not paying adequate compensation. Due to this, their livelihoods have been badly affected.

The farmers have vowed to vote for a candidate who supports their cause in the upcoming elections. In case they do not find anyone lending support to their cause, they said they will boycott the elections.
