A massive kisan mahapanchayat was organised by farmers in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. In a show of strength, the farmers for the message across that it was lakhs of them – and not just a choice few – who were expressing their unhappiness with the controversial farm laws.

In a first, the farmers also made it clear that their battle is also electoral, and that will will try and defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party in upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab if their demands are not met.
