On Friday, Punjab, which can be called the epicentre of the stir against Centre’s farm bills, was under complete shutdown. All services, barring health, were halted. Some of the most frequented link roads and highways were blocked by tractors, trucks and lorries.
Small stage set-ups were constructed at different locations where farm leaders and local influencers addressed a gathering of farmers, daily wage labourers, trade union members, student organisations and arhityas (commission agents).
