In this episode of ‘In Dino’, Mahtab Alam interviews journalist and author Sugata Srinivasaraju about the unexplored life of H.D. Deve Gowda, the 11th prime minister of India. According to Srinivasaraju, despite a long political career of seven decades and immense contribution to nation-building, Deve Gowda did not receive the recognition that he deserved because he was a Shudra, a non-anglophone and from South India. Srinivasaraju’s biography of Deve Gowda Furrows in a Field was released recently.
