Amidst the rising fear of the coronavirus infection in New Delhi, a new report emerged on Thursday. A pizza delivery boy working in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the report came through, the families of 72 houses he came in contact with were put under quarantine.

After this news spread, the food delivery market has faced a serious slowdown. This slowdown has affected the deliver workers significantly as they struggle to make ends meet. The Wire’s Shekhar Tiwari spoke to delivery agents from Zomato and Swiggy to understand the issues they face.
