Chand Miya, Guddu Khan and Sadamm Qureshi were lynched by Bajrand Dal members on June 7. The police had earlier filed charges of assault and attempt to murder against five people in the FIR. After protests by the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad against their arrest, the Special Investigation Team, in its charge sheet, has told the court that the three labourers carrying cattle jumped off the bridge, and were neither attacked nor confronted by anyone.

When Karwan e Mohabbat’s team visited the families of Saddam and Chand, they claimed it to be a case of mob lynching, demanded justice and shared the discontent with the police and the government.
