Mahav (Bulandshahr): On Monday, large-scale violence broke out in western Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr when members of Hindutva groups attacked a police station after alleging that there was cow slaughter in the area. The resulting violence led to the death of police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and Sumit, a BJP activist.
Questions have been raised if the incident was a pre-planned conspiracy by Hindutva groups to instigate violence.
The Wire reports from Mahav village of Bulandshahr on the aftermath of the violence.
