New Delhi: BJP member Kapil Mishra, alleged to be one of the prime instigators behind the communal violence which broke out in Northeast Delhi last week, has raised more than Rs 71 lakh through crowdfunding exclusively for Hindu victims, the Quint reported. The riots began just a few hours after local BJP leader Kapil Mishra had issued an ultimatum for clearing out Shaheen Bagh
On CrowdKash, an online crowdfunding platform, the campaign, titled ‘Help The Hindu Families Who Are The Victims of Delhi Riots‘, says that the “goal of this campaign is to identify families who are massively impacted due to the riots and help them with monetary assistance”.

If more victims are found, the page says that the goal amount may be extended.
“We believe that this would act as a short term relief for these underprivileged Hindu families who have been impacted by the riots. We may extend the goal amount if we find more such families that deserve our help and assistance,” it reads.
In the ‘about the campaigner section’, it says that the campaign is being “managed by a group of Dharmics under the leadership of Kapil Mishra ji“.
Mishra tweeted about the campaign on March 1 to urge people to send in donations.
According to the crowdfunding website, four individuals have donated over Rs 1 lakh each, and there are a total of 3,972 backers so far.
Days after the Delhi high court frowned upon a speech made by him in Northeast Delhi, Mishra held a ‘peace march’ in the Capital on Saturday where the violent slogan associated with him, ‘Desh ke gaddaron ko, goli maaro saalon ko’, was heard again.
