Communal violence flared up in Maharashtra's Amravati district after anti-Muslim violence was reported in the state of Tripura.
During a bandh called by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Amravati on November 13, Saturday, shops owned by Muslims were torched and destroyed. Hindu temples were also reportedly damaged.
