A recent case involving the alleged hacking of personal data on 15 lakh women customers of e-commerce platform Zivame has raised serious questions over cyber security. However, Rajasthan’s Sanjay Soni, who claims himself a “pro-Hindu”, has been charged by the state police for giving a false communal angle to the case.

Soni has claimed that 95% among those 15 lakh women are Hindus and their data has been sold to Muslims. On his Twitter handle “Cyber Huntss”, Soni made an appeal to his like-minded supporters to file cases against undergarments brand Zivame. Interestingly, he also said that the information about this alleged data leak has already been shared with BJP leader Kapil Mishra.

After the Rajasthan police began investigating the case over Zivame’s complaint, Soni was arrested and presented before the court. He is now out on bail, and the police is still investigating.
