Khargone (Madhya Pradesh): Twenty-eight-year-old Ibris Khan went missing on April 10 evening when violence broke out during a Ram Navami procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone.

For a week, his family kept on searching for him at every nook and corner, including mortuaries. They found his body 120 kilometres away from Indore, at the M.Y. Hospital morgue.

Ibris, son of Saddam Khan, was a resident of Islampura in Khargone. He worked as a sweeper under the local municipal corporation. He leaves behind his wife and an eight-month-old son.

While the post-mortem report says that Ibris died of severe head injuries, his brother, Iqhlak Khan, has accused the police and the residents of Khargone of being involved in his killing. The police have denied the allegations.

According to Iqhlak, he last saw his brother in police custody on April 10, the day when the communal clashes broke out. See this report to know more.
