As communal violence rises and Hindu triumphalism consumes the politics of the day, it’s time for a liberal introspection and a reimagining of an appropriate response, says singer and writer T.M. Krishna.
Arguing that liberals like himself need to evolve a language to communicate with the idea of faith and the faithful who may be silent, but still worried about the turn politics has taken, Krishna says the liberal response to them must go beyond offence taking, and engage with the greys of a silent public.
