Prime Minister Modi has arrived in Washington DC for a 2-day visit at the invitation of President Trump. This makes him one of just a few international leaders to meet Trump so soon after his inauguration. But what can this visit achieve? Is a second flowering of the Trump-Modi camaraderie likely? Or might tricky issues like tariffs and illegal immigration wither the bloom? And how much does everything depend upon the whims and caprices of a powerful and unchecked Donald Trump?
