In this episode of The Interview, Karan Thapar and Pravin Sawhney, the editor of Force Magazine, discuss the recent comments made by the general secretary of RSS, Dattatreya Hosabale, saying India “should not close the doors” to Pakistan and “should always be ready to engage in dialogue.”

Sawhney says the time has come for India to talk to Pakistan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take the initiative to commence a dialogue. However, he adds that Hosabale’s comments were made at the “urgings of the Americans" for their own specific reasons and does not believe that Modi requires endorsement or cover from Hosabale to initiate a dialogue with Pakistan.
