New Delhi: The Union government has appointed the consulting company BCG to help prepare a Vision 2047 document " that will set India’s medium-term goals and priorities for becoming a developed economy in the next quarter of a century," LiveMint quoted two people aware of the developments as saying.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to unveil this document once it is ready, the report stated, focused on a strategy to make India a middle-income nation.
“There are different parts to the vision document. Considerable work has already been done by the government. Besides the government, think tanks and other agencies are also contributing to this major exercise in some ways," LiveMint quoted one of its sources as saying.
The NITI Aayog will be driving the efforts to collate all these suggestions.
"Once the different parts of the vision are integrated, it is up to the prime minister when to unveil it," a source told LiveMint.
