Watch: Despite a Troubled Mock Test, DU Is Going Ahead With Online Open Book Exams

Students and teachers are opposing the move. Here's why.

Undergraduate and postgraduate final year students of Delhi University are opposing the online, open-book exam. The exams are being held despite there being a technical gap and no preparation this semester. Their future hangs in the balance.

From July 10, the university is going to conduct online examinations for students in their final year. Mock test has also started from Saturday. According to the new UGC guidelines, final year examinations will be conducted in universities and colleges by the end of September. This is being opposed by the DU Teachers Association along with the students.

In the mock test, students have also talked about many technical problems. During this test, students have faced issues like the website crashing, or an incorrect paper being uploaded. Professors have supported students in their message to the university administration of postponing the examinations, to rethink other options and solve this issue.
