In Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), all four office-bearers of the JNUSU, along with a former JNUSU president, have been 'rusticated' – placed on suspension – for nearly one year, which includes two semesters.
The students have also been asked to vacate their hostels on JNU campus.
Following this action, the JNU Student's Union has been staging a protest on campus for the past six days. The students are demanding that the action be rolled back and that their other demands be addressed immediately by the vice-chancellor and JNU administration.
