With the Yamuna going above the danger mark, many areas in the national capital faced flood-like situations. The Wire reached Civil Lines where the water of the Yamuna water inundated the streets, leading to many getting stuck in their houses.

“The water is entering residential areas because the drainage system of Delhi is not good enough," said a resident.

"After 1978, this is the first time that Delhi has faced this kind of a situation, similar to a flood,” said another victim.
