New Delhi: The crisis in West Asia triggered by the US and Israel’s decision to attack Iran entered day 36 on Saturday (April 4). After two US planes went down in separate incidents, one US service member was rescued while another was missing. This is the first instance of a shoot-down since the start of the war.

The US planes were downed just two days after President Donald Trump said in a national address that the US has “beaten and completely decimated Iran.”

Meanwhile, the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran said in a social media post Saturday that an airstrike near its Bushehr nuclear facility killed a security guard and damaged a support building.
