The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia has welcomed the ceasefire in Lebanon and said that it supports the Lebanese state and its sovereignty as well as “restricting arms to the state and its legitimate institutions”.

New Delhi: The war resulting from the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran entered day 49 on Friday (April 17). Even as the US and Iran fail to arrive at a common agreement to end the war, more Gulf countries have responded to the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

Oman has also welcomed the announcement and expressed its appreciation “for the efforts undertaken by the United States in reaching this understanding”.
