Around 12 days ago, on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party government made a false attempt to present the Yamuna at Kalindi Kunj Ghat as pollution-free and free of white foam.

But once again, the Yamuna in Delhi is covered in toxic white foam. The cleaning that was showcased by the Delhi government at Kalindi Kunj Ghat a few days before has now completely disappeared.

Just before Chhath Puja, the Delhi BJP government and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, keeping the Bihar elections in mind, made this fake attempt to clean the Yamuna to woo Purvanchali and Bihari voters living in Delhi. At the time, the government had spruced up the Yamuna ghats, installed lights, and tried to make the river appear clean.
