New Delhi: The banned United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) (Independent) (ULFA-I) claimed on Sunday (July 13) that drone and missile attacks were carried out on its camps along the Myanmar border by the Indian Army, reported The Hindu.
Sources told the Hindu that “No such operation carried out by Indian Army.”
ULFA-I in a statement issued in Assamese, confirmed the attack stating that three of its senior leaders including top commanders Nayan Medhi were killed in a drone and missile attacks carried out in their camps.
While media reports said the drone attacks were carried out in NSCN-Khaplang camp located close to India border, unconfirmed reports said camps of Manipur’s banned outfit PLA located in the area were also targeted.
