On Saturday, March 28, the Uttar Pradesh government ordered Uttar Pradesh state buses to ferry daily wage workers from the Delhi border to their villages in UP.
On Day 4 of the lockdown, this exercise completely defeated the purpose of the measure announced by the Indian government in view of the coronavirus pandemic. Some people took to social media to criticise the central and state governments for their mismanagement in tackling this health emergency.
