India recorded its highest single-day spike in the number of cases today. Just under 22,000 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. With this, more than 6.2 lakh people have been infected with the virus.

Over 18,000 people have succumbed to COVID-19 and more than 3.7 lakh people have recovered.
