Construction workers from Jharkhand and Bihar are stuck near Meerut. First provided food by a police officer on March 27, their supplies are now about to end.

About 26 of them, who are together, have been trying to get in touch with the sub-divisional magistrate for food. They also do not have access to soap or detergent to wash their hands.

Since they live in a small space, they haven't been able to practice social distancing either. Willing to pay the transportation cost themselves, their appeal to the government is that a means of transport must be made available to them.
