Lawyers in New Delhi marched from the high court to Supreme Court on Friday, February 12, condemning the raids carried out against advocate Mehmood Pracha at his chambers in the city by the Delhi police in December last year.
The group of lawyers demanded that an 'advocate protection act' be passed to grant protection to them from police action in the future.
The Wire spoke to Pracha, Justice B.G. Kosle Patil (retired), and advocate Miriam Fozia Rahman who were present during the march regarding the issues concerning lawyers in the country.
