Lies: They Come in All Sizes

I am living under lies,
Lies that mix well in this framed society.
They are being mass produced at political campaigns,
Flashed across screens shared by genetic stock,
Widely cultivated to be continuously fed around the clock.

Folded and tucked in friendly offerings, at formal parties
Making them available in bulk and for cheap
Enough to bury them deep.

In many ways, lies keep me awake
Getting in the way in the form of irrefutable evidence
So close, that I can’t stay away.

Lies seem to appear as tender as a child’s brain
Growing with time and overtime;
The need of the hour it has grown to become
To feel nourished and at peace.

Lies arrive in all sizes,
Sizes that fit me more often than not,
Sizes that rest on me perfectly well.
