When sharing a satirical cartoon on Facebook, or even texting someone a joke on Whatsapp can earn you a night in jail; and widely-respected human rights activists can find themselves accused of being 'Urban Naxals', even the most innocuous of statements can leave us nervous – whether we meant to "dissent" or not.

In such fraught times, do we bow down to these silent yet very present pressures or do we fight back?
