New Delhi: The Asian College of Journalism has opened applications for this year’s ACJ awards, it announced on Monday (February 3).>
Each year, the college, administered by the Media Development Foundation (MDF), invites entries across three categories– investigative journalism, social impact journalism and photojournalism.>
Each award carries a cash prize, trophy and citation.>
Any journalistic work including print, digital, text, multimedia (videos, podcasts, graphics, etc.) published during the calendar year 2024 (Jan-Dec) is eligible.>
“The ACJ Award for Investigative Journalism carries a cash prize of INR 2 lakh. The winner of the K.P. Narayana Kumar Memorial Award for Social Impact Journalism shall be awarded INR 1 lakh. The winner of the Ashish Yechury Memorial Award for Photojournalism, will also receive INR 1 lakh,” the college said in a statement.>
The last date for submission of nominations is March 3, 2025.>
The awards are presented on May 3 in Chennai every year, marking the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.>
