ACJ Invites Entries for Journalism Awards

New Delhi: The Asian College of Journalism has opened applications for this year’s ACJ awards, it announced on Monday (February 3).

Each year, the college, administered by the Media Development Foundation (MDF), invites entries across three categories– investigative journalism, social impact journalism and photojournalism.

Each award carries a cash prize, trophy and citation.

Any journalistic work including print, digital, text, multimedia (videos, podcasts, graphics, etc.) published during the calendar year 2024 (Jan-Dec) is eligible.

“The ACJ Award for Investigative Journalism carries a cash prize of INR 2 lakh. The winner of the K.P. Narayana Kumar Memorial Award for Social Impact Journalism shall be awarded INR 1 lakh. The winner of the Ashish Yechury Memorial Award for Photojournalism, will also receive INR 1 lakh,” the college said in a statement.

The last date for submission of nominations is March 3, 2025.

The awards are presented on May 3 in Chennai every year, marking the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.
