Shyam Meera Singh, a journalist working for India Today Group's Aaj Tak news channel, has claimed that he was terminated from employment for posting tweets critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His employers have said he was in violation of the Group’s social media policy.

Shyam Meera Singh had been working at the online edition of the Aaj Tak news channel since December 2020.
