On the evening of February 26, in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, journalist Devendra Khare was allegedly attacked by unidentified assailants, leaving him severely injured with two bullet wounds.
According to Khare, the attack was carried out by Rituraj Singh, the brother of BJP district president Pushparaj Singh. This is not the first incident of its kind in Uttar Pradesh.
