According to a report by The Hindu, Bhupesh Baghel has been brought into the All India Congress Committee fold as the new general secretary, in charge of Punjab. >
Krishna Allavuru, who was the in-charge of the youth Congress, has been assigned as the new general secretary of Bihar, which will be going to the polls this year. Allavuru replaced Mohan Prakash, a Congress veteran.>
The Indian Express has reported that Syed Naseer Hussain, a Rajya Sabha member, has been appointed as general secretary for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. >
Meanwhile, in Haryana, after the humiliating defeat in the state assembly polls last year, senior party leader BK Hariprasad has now been appointed as the in-charge of the state Congress. He is a former Rajya Sabha member of the party.>
