New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Police have filed a case against Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal, aka Jai Bhagwan, for alleged gang rape. The complaint, filed by a Delhi resident, claims the incident occurred on July 3, 2023, at a hotel in Kasauli.

According to the FIR registered on December 13 at Kasauli police station in Solan district, the complainant and her friend met Badoli and Mittal while on a vacation in Himachal Pradesh. After a month, the details of the FIR have surfaced on Tuesday (January 14).

The accused allegedly took the women to their hotel room, offered them alcohol, and despite their refusal, forced them to drink. They then allegedly harassed and raped the complainant, also taking nude photos and videos. The complainant also alleged that Mittal said he would offer her a role as a heroine in his album, while Badoli allegedly promised to secure her a government job, citing his high-level connections, The Indian Express reported.

Further, the complainant claimed that Badoli and Mittal threatened to harm her and her friend if they reported the incident. They also allegedly forced the women to travel to Panchkula two months ago, where they were threatened with false criminal charges.

“They threatened to make me disappear if I disclosed the matter to the police or anybody. We felt ashamed… About two months ago, they called us to Panchkula and threatened to implicate us in a false criminal case. After that, we managed to find Rocky Mittal’s address in Panchkula and Badoli’s address in Sonipat and their mobile phone numbers,” the complainant was quoted as saying by IE.

She added, “I am requesting that justice should be given to me, and stern action should be taken against them. Also, my nude pictures and videos should be deleted from their mobile phone numbers.”

Badoli has denied the allegations, calling them “baseless” and suggesting that the FIR might be fake, possibly related to upcoming elections in Delhi. “It is all baseless accusations. There is nothing like that. I have no clue what it is all about. Such FIRs can also be fudged. It could be due to the upcoming elections in Delhi that such fake FIRs are being circulated,” Badoli told IE.

However, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh confirmed that the case has been registered under Sections 376D (gang rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, and is under investigation.
