The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the government in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders including former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and minister Saurabh Bharadwaj have faced defeat. The Congress has failed to make any impact struggling to secure a single seat.

The BJP has comfortably secured a majority by winning 48 seats while the AAP managed to emerge victorious in 22. There are 70 seats in the Delhi legislative assembly and a party or coalition needs to win 36 seats to rule.

In Milkipur by polls in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has won while the DMK managed to win the Erode seat in Tamil Nadu.
