New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (March 21) released its third list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
According to the list, K. Annamalai will contest from Coimbatore, former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan from Chennai South, and L. Murugan from Nilgiris.
Soundararajan resigned as the governor of Telangana on Monday (March 18).
Vinoj Selvam will contest from Chennai Central, A.C. Shanmugam from Vellore, C. Narasimhan (Krishnagiri), T.R. Paarivendhar (Perambalur), Nainar Nagendran (Thoothukkudi), Pon. Radhakrishnan (Kanniyakumari).
The party's second candidate list, released on March 13, featured three former chief ministers, nine Union Ministers, two Rajya Sabha MPs, and 15 women. The first list, released on March 2, comprised 195 candidates, among them Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State, and two former chief ministers.
