New Delhi: Former Delhi cabinet minister Satyendar Jain was admitted to an ICU after he collapsed in a Tihar Jail bathroom on Thursday, 25 May.
The 58-year-old Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was also hospitalised on Monday, May 22 to receive treatment for another fall he suffered in June last year.
Jain’s party tweeted a photo of him receiving oxygen support.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal responded to photos of a visibly weaker Jain circulating online, saying that “a dictator was bent on killing [Jain]”, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Vijender Gupta, a BJP MLA from Delhi, also responded to the photos of Jain.
“The first point is that he was overweight. Does AAP not know that he was overweight? It is good to lose weight, losing weight is a matter of how you manage your body,” News18 quoted him as saying.
Jain has been in jail since May last year after the Enforcement Directorate (ED), a federal financial crimes agency, arrested him on money laundering charges.
He has been denied bail in the case and approached the Supreme Court for relief, which said it would hear his petition on May 26, CNBC TV18 reported.
The ED also detained AAP leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in March this year in relation to a liquor scam case.
The Modi government has used the ED against organisations that are critical of his administration, including Greenpeace and Amnesty International. The agency was criticised by a Mumbai court for making arrests at an “extraordinary pace” but being very slow to conclude trials, a Scroll report said.
