Teen Murti Now Has an Abundance of Books Praising Narendra Modi

New Delhi: The normally quiet and placid Nehru Memorial Library building in the Teen Murti estate is abuzz with activity. Painters are feverishly painting the walls, electricians are replacing light fixtures and gardeners are busy manicuring the lawn outside.
The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) – now called Prime Minister Museum and Library (PMML) – is gearing up to host Prime Minister Narendra Modi who, according to the staff there, is visiting the premises on Monday, April 28, to bless a gallery dedicated to himself.
One of the young men who works in the small outdoor canteen right behind the library apologises for the delay in normally prompt service, “This entire area is being sanitised. We have all been given the day off on Monday. Even the cooking gas cylinders in the canteen kitchen will be removed that day.”
As part of the preparations for this event, the library staff are busy collecting all the books they can find on Modi and are stacking them up in one part of the library. According to them, these books (150 or so, in number) will be on display in a 'Modi Gallery’ when the prime minister visits.
This collection includes titles like Narendra Modi The World Leader, Prime Minister Modi – The Challenges Ahead, Modiplomacy Through a Shakespearean Prism, Narendra Modi - Creative Disruptor - The Maker of New India, Moditva, Great Nationalist of India Narendra Modi, Modi 2.0, Modi to Moditva, 21 Leadership lessons of Modi, Narendra Modi: The Son of Soil, Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery, Modi – Common Man’s PM, Narendra Modi - The Man India Needs, Modi 2.0 – A Resolve To Secure India, Modi’s Blueprint for India, Modi@Success India, Mann Ki Baat, Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas Sabka Vishwaas, Modi Effect, Modi’s India – Hindu Nationalism and the Rise of Ethnic Democracy, Namo Vaani, Letters to Self, Swachh Bharat, Narendra Modi: Harbinger of Prosperity & Apostle of World Peace, and many more.
It may be recalled that a new Prime Ministers’ Museum showcasing all 14 Indian prime ministers has been constructed just behind the original Teen Murti House, the residence of India’s first prime minister, Jawharlal Nehru. (For reasons best known to those now in charge of the PMML, a pink façade with the words ‘Pradhan Mantri Museum and Library’ now stands in front of the original gate of Teen Murti effectively covering the original name, ‘Nehru Memorial Museum and Library’.)
One of the staffers at the PMML conjectures, “Of course, it remains to be seen if the prime minister will come here on April 28, given the recent events in Pahalgam, but we are getting ready anyway.”
