The Bihar assembly elections are firmly underway, with the first phase of polling seeing a 64.66% voter turnout. One of the big things in this election has been the extremely high proportion of young voters. Fifty-one percent of voters are between 20 and 40 years of age; there are 1.47 million first-time voters in this election.
To talk about how this might play out, Jahnavi Sen is joined by academic and researcher Professor Manisha Priyam and senior journalist Sanjay Jha. They also talk about Rahul Gandhi's 'H-Bomb' press conference alleging 'vote theft' in Haryana and Zohran Mamdani's election as New York City mayor.
