Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has in recent weeks crafted his campaign almost entirely on targeting Indian Muslims, has now said in an interview to Network 18 that he never referred to Muslims while talking about those who produced more children and that the day he starts talking about Hindu Muslims, he will consider himself unfit for public life. On this week's The Wire Wrap, Sravasti Dasgupta is joined by The Caravan's editor-in-chief Hartosh Singh Bal and author and journalist Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay to discuss Modi's anti-Muslim pitch, the conduct of 'free and fair' elections in the four phases that have concluded, BJP's Yogi factor in its succession plan, and much more.
