On Sunday, September 4, 2022, the Congress staged a rally to raise awareness about the rise in prices of essential goods and oppose the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government in an all-out attack over inflation, unemployment, and a GST hike on vital products. The Congress and its supporters arrived at Delhi's Ramlila field for the march. The demonstration comes ahead of the opposition party's 3,500-kilometre "Bharat Jodo Yatra" from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, which begins September 7 and will highlight similar concerns as well as promote racial harmony. The Wire's Yaqut Ali and Atul Howale were on the ground to report the Congress's rally.
