Ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party has sealed an alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal and Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP). Meanwhile, chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has started distributing free ration under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, until March 2022. Congress has also started showing its strength by launching a women-centric campaign led by Priyanka Gandhi.
