Sadaf Jafar, a woman activist who was arrested while shooting a Facebook Live video during the anti-CAA protests in Uttar Pradesh and allegedly beaten by the Uttar Pradesh police in 2020, has now been fielded by the Congress in the upcoming elections from the Lucknow Central constituency.

Jafar has been a long-time activist and is now one of the 40 women part of Priyanka Gandhi's 'Ladki Hun, Lad Sakti Hun' campaign in the state.
