Mahant Narendra Giri, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad, was found dead at Allahabad's Baghambari Muth on Monday, September 20.

While Uttar Pradesh police noted that the seer's death appeared, at first glance, to be a suicide, investigations into whether this is the case or if he was murdered, are still ongoing. The police even made a 13-page suicide note, retrieved from where Giri was found dead, available to the media.
