Brainologi hosts Mumbai’s first-of-its-kind Kids’ Literature Festival in partnership with Brookfield Properties Mumbai, December 8, 2025: The inaugural edition of Stories by the Lake, Mumbai’s first-of-its-kind Kids’ Literature Festival, organised by Brainologi, an early learning publisher in partnership with Brookfield Properties, a leading global developer and operator of high-quality real estate assets concluded on a high note at the Prudential Podium, Level 1, Downtown Powai, one of its premium mixed-use developments drawing enthusiastic participation from kids, parents, educators, and literature lovers.

The festival was inaugurated by Shubhada Dayal, Author & Founder, Brainologi, Dr. Sheetal Kapoor, Author & Co-founder, Brainologi, and Harshil Shah, Founder, Booksbarista4u, setting the tone for a day dedicated to stories, imagination, and family learning.

Families experienced a vibrant mix of author sessions, interactive workshops, read-alouds, illustration labs, quizzes, and themed storytelling corners spread across two thoughtfully curated tracks: 1. Kids’ Track Featuring sessions on mythology, nature, Mumbai’s heritage, mathematical storytelling, character design, and immersive reading experiences.

2. Parents’ Track Focused on raising curious readers, building home libraries, maintaining digital balance, and nurturing creative thinkers.

From mythological adventures to nature-inspired stories, from Mumbai trivia to character design workshops, children spent the day reading, creating, and discovering.

Devdutt Pattanaik, mythologist and bestselling author, commented on stories and children, “The child took care of his parents, who gave him culture through stories.” Sonali Kulkarni, actor and author, said, “It was exciting to see so many young readers and parents gathered together. Stories teach us about life. I was delighted to be a part of this as a storyteller.” Shubhada Dayal, Author and Founder of Brainologi, added, “Stories are transformative. Watching children and parents learn together today felt like a celebration of everything we want to nurture: curiosity, learning and joy.” The festival brought together some of India’s most celebrated authors, creators, and educators—including Devdutt Pattanaik, Sonali Kulkarni, Fiona Fernandez, Lubaina Bandukwala, Katie Bagli, Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta, Urvashi Dubey, Archana Sarat, Vikas Dimri, and others—creating a full day of imaginative exploration.

With an overwhelming response from Powai and beyond, Stories by the Lake has set the stage for an annual celebration of learning, imagination, and the joy of reading.
