Days after the Delhi Police unleashed brute force on protesters who had responded to the Cockroach Janta Party's "Chalo Sansad" march to parliament on July 20, 2026, crowds have continued to swell at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Protests have spread to other parts of the country where young people despite police detentions have come together to demand accountability and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The opposition has kept up the pressure on the government both inside and outside the house. The protest has also drawn attention to the unique ongoing agitation against the Ken-Betwa linking project in Madhya Pradesh.
