Nurpur village is located in the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. This village which comes under the Tappal police station area has a large population of Muslims.

According to a report, about 800 Muslim families and 125 Hindu families live in the town. The majority of the Hindu families belong to the Jatav community (a Scheduled Caste). This village was in the news after signs came up in front of some Dalit houses, with “house for sale” written on them.
