The Wire team reached Khoda Labour Chowk in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, for the coverage of the assembly elections. Here, informal workers or migrant workers said they continue to face their struggle for survival, compounded with high prices of essential commodities and the COVID-19 pandemic. The main issue, they said, is the non-availability of work and a delay in getting their wages.
They discuss with Mukul Singh Chauhan what they want from the Uttar Pradesh government this time.
