Mostari Banu, a 45-year-old homemaker from Murshidabad district in West Bengal, filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of the Special Intensive Revision in West Bengal. Mostari notes that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee – who dramatically appeared in the Supreme Court – only appeared in a case in which she was the first petitioner.
