“Your sickness is from you, but you do not perceive it and your remedy is within you, but you do not sense it. You presume you are a small entity, but within you is enfolded the entire universe. You are indeed the evident book, by whose alphabets the hidden becomes manifest. Therefore, you have no need to look beyond yourself. What you seek is within you, if only you reflect ” — Imam Ali (AS).>
The human ear can hear a wide range of frequencies from the low rumblings of the thunder to the high–pitched tweets of a songbird. Each sound produces a unique vibration that travels through the air and into our eardrums. Our brain then decodes these vibrations into the sounds we recognise, specific frequencies that have a reputation for promoting healing and wellbeing. These specific frequencies are called solfeggio frequencies.>
You might be wondering why it is that solfeggio frequencies produce more positive effects on the body than any other sounds or tones, the answer lies in the Schumann resonance.>
In 1952, German physicist Winfried Otto Schumann mathematically documented the electromagnetic resonances existing between the earth’s surface and the ionosphere — the electrically charged part of the earth’s atmosphere. Schumann discovered that theses electromagnetic waves, originating from the discharges of lightening, resonated at a low frequency ranging between 7.86 Hz to 8 Hz. He determined that this frequency was, in essence, the earth’s heartbeat. It has since been coined the Schumann resonance after its founder. >
According to the existing research, the natural frequency of the human standing body is about 7.5 Hz and the frequency of a sitting posture in the cab is generally 4–6 Hz. We are a living energy field, our body is composed of energy producing particles, each of which is in constant motion. So, like everything and everyone else in the universe, we are vibrating energy. Using an atomic force microscope, researchers have detected vibration on nanoscale. These vibrations generate electromagnetic energy waves. Researchers have found vibrations and electromagnetic energy associated with them cause changes in our cells, which can then affect how our body functions, e.g., anxious thoughts trigger the release of stress hormones that stimulate our heart rate to speed up or slow down. The sound vibrations of music likewise affect thoughts, emotions and body systems.>

Schumann’s successor, doctoral candidate Herbert Konig, took this research a step further. He studied the connection between the Schumann resonance and found them to match various levels of human brain activity by comparing EEG recordings with the earth’s electromagnetic fields. Konig discovered that the resonances matched the 5 different brainwave states: delta, theta, alpha, beta and gamma . These are the brain wave states that occur naturally during all daily activities from sleeping to creating to learning. Further, research supports Konig’s findings that confirm the incredible similarities between Schumann resonance and human brain activity. Additionally other resonance has been found to provide synchronisation for high brain function. Research suggests music can influence us a lot. It can impact illness, depression, spending, productivity and our perception of the world . Some research has suggested it can increase aggressive thoughts or encourage crime.>
Recently, a UK study explored how ‘drill music’ , a genre of rap characterised by threatening lyrics might be linked to attention seeking crime.>
Physiological and psychological effects of listening to music have been documented in humans. Additionally, studies using animal models have investigated music-induced changes in physiology, cognition, brain chemistry, and morphology, suggesting that music’s impact on animals may be similar to its effects on humans. The milking behaviour and milk yield of farm animals including cattle and buffalo are affected by music.
As early as 1885, the music commission of the Italian government declared that all instruments and orchestras should use a tuning fork that vibrates at 440 Hz, which was different from the original standard of 435 Hz and the competing 432 Hz used in France. In 1917, the American federation of musicians endorsed the Italians followed by a further push for 440Hz. Some believe 432hz (also known as Verdi’s A) is a natural frequency because it’s a “pure tone of maths fundamental to nature” and is mathematically consistent with the patterns of the universe vibrating with “phi”, the golden ratio. They point to how this pitch can be connected to everything from nautilus shells to the works of the great pyramids. Without going too far down the rabbit hole, this theory says that tuning all music to 440 Hz turns it into a military weapon.>
The monopolisation of the music industry features this imposed frequency that is heading the population into greater aggression, psychosocial agitation and emotional distress predisposing people to physical illness and financial impositions profiting the agents, agencies and companies engaged in monopoly.
It is said that the propaganda minister for Nazi party, Joseph Goebbels, insisted on 440 Hz tuning in Germany because he believed it made people think and feel in a specific way, making them “ a prisoner of a certain consciousness”.>
Scientists have been aware of sound effects on human health and well-being for centuries. One of the most well known ways that sound can be used to heal is through brain wave experiment which is effective for various health problems, including anxiety, depression, insomnia and chronic pain. A 7.83 Hz frequency — an alpha/theta brainwave frequency is a relaxed, dreamy , sleepy state that is also when cell regeneration and healing happens. It is no surprise that people nowadays, especially in bigger cities are unbalanced , irritated, reactive, angry and disease are rising in astronomical numbers . We live in the time of technology, with superficial wavelengths that disrupt the natural earth’s frequency.
There is agreement among science, medicine and metaphysics that certain frequencies can repel disease and certain frequencies can destroy disease. Everything in nature vibrates at different frequencies. In fact, quantum physics describes the universe as nothing more than vibrating strings of energy. Everything in life is vibration — Albert Einstein.>
